Learn About Bead Treasures

Stefany Tomalin writes: Welcome to my new BeadTreasures website! Here I show many rare and collectable beads of all materials acquired over years when I had a unique bead shop in Portobello Road, famous centre of the antique trade in London.

We specialised in the most rare and unusual beads of all origins and I was one of a very few who seriously researched beads, writing 3 popular books about them. In fact I have more than 45 years’ experience in the world of beads and bead research. I founded the Bead Society of Great Britain, i co-moderate an online bead discussion forum - “Beads-L”, and am currently the elected president of the Society of Bead Researchers.

When my shop closed I was looking after my very elderly mother, babysitting grandchildren, and still lectured, gave classes, wrote and did consultancy, while the wonderful beads from the shop were in storage, but now - at last! much of the interesting stock can be bought via my site.

Contact me now for more details about any of the exotic beads shown here.
